- a logo is a logo is a logo - ?!?

Well, actually I think there are some differences… But YOU decide…

You are a brand having your own company logo ? Or you are an embroidery/printing company working with your customer’s logo - the question is always the same: How to interpret a logo ?

“Drop-Out” version of the Gunold logo using GLOWY glow-in-the-dark thread. Design: GS UK

Most of the time, a logo is embroidered using satin stitch and a classical no. 40 polyester thread:

Just by using the variety of embroidery thread materials, compositions and structures, you can already achieve a completely different look:

Digitizing is the key factor here. If you dare to interpret your logo more modern and fresh and if the digitizing is done properly, you can create stunning results. Your customers will immediatey see and appreciate the new look ! AND, very important, very often, you can even save stitches. Less is more in embroidery so just by chosing the right embroidery techniques and stitch types, you can be different and show that you represent a modern company.

See some examples here, “playing” with the Gunold logo:

Innovative interpretation of the Gunold logo created by Kasia Hanack / Mäde!.

During the TV TecStyle Visions Show in March/April 2023, this “PIMP YOUR LOGO” theme was presented on the TechCheckArea, powered by

Constitch (digitizing)

Daiber (garments)

Gunold (embroidery threads and backings)

Messe Stuttgart (host)

Modefachschule Sigmaringen (working on the logo graphic)

Reiner Knochel Textile Experience (communication, networking)

Walz (ZSK embroidery machine)

The visitors presented their logo, designers from Modefachschule Sigmaringen re-worked the logo design, Massimo Baezzato from Constitch digitized the file and the design was embroidered right on the show on polo shirts from Daiber, using Gunold embroidery materials on a ZSK embroidery machine by Walz.

There was great interest and the visitors were really excited about the results. For me it was amazing to be part of this great project. Let’s see when and how we will present something similar on another show or event. If you like to let redesign your logo, contact me any time !
